The Cross Movement collective comprises four equally skilled rappers--T.R.U.-L.I.F.E, the Ambassador, Phanatik, and the Tonic--who in every way reflect the musical aesthetics of 21st-century hip hop, minus the lyrical focus on bling, misogyny, and violence. The rhymes are solid and the music is intense and engaging, making their message all the more compelling. This album--the group's sixth studio recording--was nominated for a Grammy.
